1.Vehicle Prep & Visual Inspection:Step 1.
We secure the truck on a lift or stable service bay, lower the spare tire, and temporarily move the exhaust out of the way if necessary. This gives our technicians clear, safe access to the underside of the truck bed and frame rails.
2.Precision Bed Drilling:Step 2.
Using the exact model-specific measurements provided by B&W, we locate and drill the single 4-inch hole in the truck bed floor. Getting this point exactly center ensures the hitch ball lines up perfectly with your trailer's gooseneck coupler.
3.Frame-Side Bracket Mounting:Step 3.
We bolt the heavy-duty side brackets directly into the existing factory holes on your truck's frame rails. Because B&W designs these for specific truck makes and models, there is no dangerous frame drilling or welding required, preserving your truck's structural integrity.
4.Center Section Installation:Step 4.
The massive center section containing the solid, one-piece machined receiver socket is lifted under the bed and securely bolted across the crossmembers and side brackets. Every single bolt is torqued down precisely to B&W’s strict foot-pound specifications.
5.Latch Pin & Safety Chain Pulls:Step 5.
We install the spring-loaded 5/8-inch steel locking pin mechanism, routing the handle through the driver’s side rear wheel well for easy access. Finally, we drill and install the spring-loaded safety chain U-bolts through the bed so they sit flush when not in use.

Fully Clean Bed: When the job is done, you get a completely flush truck bed. You can flip the machined 2-5/16 inch ball over into the socket in seconds to get full use of your truck bed when you aren't towing.
